Construction Management and Design, Inc. has been a General Contractor since 1996, specializing in remodeling. We are licensed, bonded and insured. CM&D, Inc. is a tightly integrated team consisting of owners Colleen Mihalik, Fred Haller and our experienced staff. Construction Management and Design, Inc. proudly boasts Designer Colleen Mihalik, who has been creating award-winning designs since 1987. Her designs have been featured in many publications, including Better Homes and Gardens and The Oregonian.

Colleen and Fred have both earned CERTIFIED REMODELER status through comprehensive review and testing in areas of business management, ethical conduct, and technical skills – with adherence to NARI's strict Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. This certification requires at least 5 years in the remodeling field and the preparation and passing of a comprehensive exam after 16 weeks of intensive study and examination.

Colleen comes with a 7 year background of working as a kitchen and bath designer at a fine quality cabinet shop. With previous education in art and design, she went back to school to obtain a degree in Building Construction. Upon completion, she started CM&D, Inc. and dedicated herself to top notch design and construction. Fred has been with CM&D for 7 years. His prior career of 25 years was as a Tool and Die design engineer and management in manufacturing. Our dedication to the business, combined with creative talent and attention to detail has resulted in hundreds of happy customers who live and enjoy their new spaces. We work closely with a hand-picked team of specialized contractors; some of whom have been working with CM&D, Inc. for as long as 14+ years.
